Project Description

Project Brief

72% of the total $400B in Charitable Donations in the U.S. is made by individuals ($282B), yet most donors rely on paper receipts or low-tech manual spreadsheets to track their charitable giving. 90% want to give with more impact, yet only 9% of them inform their impact with comparative research because there is no easy access to that information. The personal finance sector was in a similar stage back in the late 1980s when applications such as Quicken, Microsoft Money, and others appeared as budgeting and charting tools.

Today, 4 of every 10 Americans manage their budget using these applications and research shows that people with a plan pay down debt three times faster than those without one and contribute 41% more on average to retirement accounts.

Can we expect similar positive results to those observed in the personal finances sector if people can easily budget for and benchmark their charitable giving?
